We grow a selection of redcurrant, blackcurrant and gooseberry bushes, with jostaberries and whitecurrants in the pipeline for next year. We choose great tasting varieties suited to organic, low input cultivation. We take cuttings from our own mother plants in the nursery as well as from productive plantings elsewhere on the farm, propagate them on site, and grow them on for two years. We’re also experimenting with growing rhubarb from seed, and can offer 1 year old rhubarb crowns to complete your fruit plantings.
Soft fruit is a high value crop and often difficult to buy in shops, so it’s especially worthwhile growing it yourself.
